The Polar Bear Has Landed!

Kendra Haste's Polar Bear has arrived at the Tower of London. Just a few more baboons and the elephant and the new exhibition on the Tower Menagerie -"Royal Beasts" will be complete. See labels for links to related posts.


Another magnificent piece. I am lucky enough to be going to a workshop at the Tower next week where the curator and the artist will be talking about these sculptures and the exhibition. Tickets are £20/£18 but that does include entry to the Tower, details and bookings from the Historical Royal Palaces site here.

Update. 27th May 2011. I have just been called by HRP and told that tomorrows event has been cancelled. I do hope they reschedule it soon. I was really looking forward to meeting Kendra Haste. Apparently all the work is on site though, I will go tomorrow and check for myself. If it is then a new blog post will follow.
